So this morning I received a bundle of Newspapers from Orillia Today - commence day one. All of the flyers were pre-stuffed, as it was my first week on the job.
This morning before leaving, I typed the first address into Google Maps. It showed up less than a block away from my house - cool! When I got there, the house numbers were all wrong. It turns out my route starts at the top of the hill about a 10-15 minute walk away from my house - so with that 30 billion pound sack of paper I guess I'm getting the exercise I asked for. On top of that, it was snowing like a boss.
I pondered a lot as I walked. Mostly about The Hobbit (which I'm just finishing up for the first time in a long time), but also about a business idea.
How awesome would it be to start a milkman service. Where for a fee, you would receive that good old glass bottle of milk on your doorstep, delivered by a man in blue coveralls with slicked back hair and a mighty good mustache (of course this would be a part of the hiring process). The nostalgia alone is worth a fortune, and you hear it said all the time 'I miss getting milk on my doorstep every morning'.
Maybe I'll keep that in my back pocket for future use..
Here's a photo I took on my iPhone on the way home
